What the Society runs

We Care — about the health of those in need in Marion County

The We Care program

We Care is donated specialty healthcare, offered by Marion County physicians to patients who have no other way to reach specialty care. It runs alongside the Heart of Florida Health Center, Marion County Community Services and the local hospitals.

To date it has assisted in over 26,000 referrals and millions of dollars in donated services.

Established in Marion County nearly forty years ago by physician employers in private practice, as a way to give their employees and families comprehensive medical coverage.

Members and their staff enrol through the Trust’s benefits portal.
